The third PDG Trust Student & Graduate Retreat was held in Hoi An on 26-27 August 2023. A total of 17 current students and graduates attended along with four members of the PDG team (Nguyễn Thị Hoa, Hoàng Thị Khánh Linh, Professor Dirk Gillespie and Philip Gray senior). The weekend provided an opportunity for members of the PDG community to get together: old friends renewed relationships and new PDGers were able to get to know others in our “family”.
The group worked on creating fundraising materials and also discussed ways to improve the PDG program, including developing mentoring for students by graduates and
improving the PDG social network (physical as well as digital).
The meeting was a great success. Hoa and Linh did an excellent job of leading the workshop sessions and looking after meeting administration. Thanks also go to Nguyễn Bạch Nga and Dinh Chị Hằng Anh who helped organise the event, although they were not able to attend.
