Award of 2024 Memorial Prize in Economics

We are pleased to announce that the 2024 Philip David Gray Memorial Prize in Economics has been awarded to Oliver Whalley.

The prize is offered each year to the winning essay in a competition open to all Economics students at Stewart’s Melville College in Edinburgh. This year’s topic was “Does Development Aid Work?” Oliver Whalley’s submission was unanimously considered the best by the panel of judges. The judges also noted the overall high quality of all the submissions.
