Scholarship Application Round 2024-25

The call for scholarship applications is now closed. Applicants invited for stage 2 of the application process will be informed by 7 August 2024.

The Philip David Gray Memorial Trust for Vietnam was established in 2005 to support long-term improvement in Vietnam in terms of poverty reduction, healthcare, education and national infrastructure.

The Trust’s main activity is a programme of scholarships for deserving Vietnamese students attending Vietnamese universities. Since its inception in 2008, the scheme has helped a total of 41 students of whom 30 have graduated successfully and are now contributing, each in his or her own way, to the improvement of Vietnam.

The Trust is a lasting memorial to the life and work of Philip David Gray who, at the time of his death in 2005, was a member of the energy infrastructure team of the World Bank in Vietnam. Philip was committed to development that makes a difference to the lives of ordinary people and the Trust aims to continue its work in the same spirit.
